Daily Delivery Entry, Returns & Payments
Comprehensive guide to logging daily full jar deliveries, quick empty jar returns, bulk route entries, cash, UPI payments, and monthly billing.
Logging daily jar deliveries in PaniHisab automatically calculates live stock, tracks empty jar balances at customer premises, updates cash/UPI ledgers, and generates 1-click WhatsApp monthly invoices.
1. Full Detailed Delivery Entry
Use detailed entry when delivering water jars to an individual customer with specific jar counts and payment collections:
- Open Daily Entry Screen: From the menu, tap Daily Entry or click + New Delivery.
- Select Customer & Date: Search for the customer name or select from your active route list. The delivery date defaults to today.
- Enter Given Jars (Full Cans): Enter the number of filled water jars delivered (e.g., 5 full jars).
- Enter Returned Jars (Empty Cans): Enter the number of empty cans collected back from the customer (e.g., 4 empty jars).
- Select Payment Status: Choose how the customer paid today (Cash, UPI, or Credit/Udhaari).
- Save Entry: Tap Submit Entry. The customer's jar ledger and bill balance update instantly!
2. Quick Empty Jar Return
Often, customers or delivery boys collect empty cans from a shop or house without delivering new full jars. Use Quick Return to log this in 1 tap:
Tap Quick Jar Return on the Daily Entry tab. Select the customer name and enter the number of empty cans collected (e.g., 2 empty cans). Tap Confirm Return.
3. Bulk Route Delivery Entry (Speed Entry)
For fast morning deliveries, log deliveries for an entire route or delivery vehicle in a single screen:
- Select Route / Driver: Choose your delivery route (e.g., Route 1 - Varachha). All customers assigned to this route will appear in a clean checklist.
- Quick 1-Tap Tap Given / Returned: Tap the + / - buttons next to each customer name to set delivered full cans and collected empty cans.
- Bulk Submit: Click Save All Deliveries. PaniHisab saves 20+ customer entries in 3 seconds!
4. Cash, UPI & Monthly Payment Settlement
PaniHisab flexible payment tracking supports on-the-spot payments as well as month-end settlements:
Spot Cash Payment
When a customer pays cash upon delivery (e.g., ₹150 cash for 5 jars), select Cash as the payment mode. The cash amount is logged to your daily cash collection report.
UPI Online Payment (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm)
When a customer pays via GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, or scans your shop UPI QR code, select UPI. Enter the transaction ID or amount to credit online collection.
Monthly Credit (Udhaari) Settlement
For regular monthly customers who pay at the end of the month, select Credit / Monthly Bill. The delivery amount is automatically added to their running monthly account tab and included in their 1-click WhatsApp PDF invoice on the 1st of next month.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if a customer returns more empty jars than delivered today?
PaniHisab automatically handles net jar balances! For example, if you deliver 2 full jars and receive 5 empty cans back, the customer's unreturned empty jar balance is reduced by 3 cans in their ledger.
How do UPI online payments show on monthly bills?
When you log a UPI or GPay payment, it is recorded as a verified credit entry. On the month-end WhatsApp PDF statement, total deliveries minus online payments show the exact remaining due balance.
Can delivery drivers mark deliveries from their own phones?
Yes! Delivery boys log into the PaniHisab Driver App. They can see their assigned route customers and tap to record daily jar deliveries and cash collection on the go.
